Xtreme wins the Division I Gold Championship!

Thanks to all that came out to support the effort! A best guesstimation, Xtreme believes that they had close to 200 fans cheering them on last night.
WOW!!
Thanks to several DASC teams that showed up to help in the cause. Twisters, Strikers, Girls KixxFc, Boys Kix and others. Xtreme thanks you.

Most important, Xtreme fans. You are the greatest! Parents, Grandparents, Great Grandparents, Brothers, Sisters, Aunt & Uncles. All were present and your cheers were all heard.

We are adding a new segment to the site, It's call "A Players Prospective" This will be written by an Xtreme Player. It gives an opportunity for each player to write about an upcoming or past game. This is done solely by the players. No help or influence by parents coaches or friends. Each player will have an opportunity to submit their prospective. We will start on a voluntary bases but will ask or assign a schedule if needed. So have at it players it's your turn to be heard.
The first Player Prospective has been written by Alexis Munshower.

A Players Prospective

Xtreme had a chance to choose their own destiny this weekend and I think we chose the right one! I thought we (Xtreme) did good coming out with 3-0 win over HMMS. Last time we played we tied 2-2 after giving up in the second half long enough for them to score 2 goals tying up the game. You know that we have an advantage playing at Hurricane because one it's a big field and 2 a lot of teams aren't ready for all the running involved. I think the difference was that we didn't give up this time and continued playing with all our efforts through the 1st and 2nd halves. For not doing well in practice on Tuesday and the lack of players at practice on Thursday I thought we did excellent! We worked well with each other, communicating, passing, and setting up plays for each other.  Also with phenomenal efforts from both our goalies Haley in the first half, and Shaina in the second. Since all our players worked so well together now we have a very good chance of winning the championship on Tuesday against Susquehanna.

My perspective on the upcoming Tuesday game can be interpreted in  many ways.  For one thing I'm not going to lie I think well i know it's going to be a tough battle from the time the first whistle blows until we walk off the field. To win this game I think we all need to give a 110% and then some. We need to work together as a team, communicate as we did on Saturday, and not give up no matter what the score is. I think one thing that effects us sometimes is that the other team scores and then we kind of decrease in effort that we put into play. On Tuesday like i said earlier we can't give up no matter what the score.  We need to use our skills, plays, and brains to come together. Susquehanna is a good team but so are we!  On Tuesday they are calling for rain but go back to the York Cup championship game, we play better in mud. It doesn't just take a great team to win a game it also takes support from the sidelines, coaches, parents, friends, and siblings. So far you guys have been great! You need to keep it up for one more game. So Xtreme let's go out there and kick butt, let's play some good hard soccer for 60 minutes. && if you can considering it's not too hot try & wear your Xtreme sweatshirts to school on Tuesday!     LET'S GO XTREME!!!! : ]]]]

Xtreme moved one step closer to capturing the Division I Gold title. The team took on HMMS and beat them 3-0 in what was an easy win. Xtreme must face Susquehanna in it's final game on Tuesday at their home field. (6:00 pm) This will be for the title. Redland can only sit and wait as they already played their last game. Xtreme can control their own destiny but finishing the season with a win.

Team Xtreme finished the weekend with a win over a Dallastown premier team. Against all odds would be an understatement.  After a 1-1 record  leaving day one Xtreme came back with a full roster  on Sunday to play  the winner of bracket  two. Dover failed to be a challenge that Xtreme was looking for but knew that the rematch with Dallastown would be difficult. After losing on Saturday to this team 3-1 with a full roster playing them again in the championship seem to be a uphill challenge. To add to the drama, field conditions became a huge mud pit with standing water on parts of the field. Xtreme was also left with only one sub when several players went to a track & field event and a injury prevent the return of our goalie. None the less Xtreme's determination prove to be to much and held on to win the York Cup Classic 2-1. Way to go girls!!!
